A new trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 has arrived, promising even more spectacular action in the upcoming edition of the Keanu Reeves-led series. The sequel will take up with Reeves’ titular assassin, still alive despite seeming to be betrayed by Ian McShane’s Winston, as he discovers a method to ultimately defeat The High Table and regain his freedom once and for all. Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Laurence Fishburne, McShane, Scott Adkins, Hiroyuki Sanada, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown, Shamier Anderson, and George Georgiou join Reeves in the cast of John Wick: Chapter 4.

Lionsgate has released the last John Wick: Chapter 4 trailer, with little over a month till the film’s release. The video showcases more of the epic action from the sequel, as Reeves’ favourite protagonist fights his way through more rival assassins on his road to freedom and his final target, Skarsgrd’s The Marquis de Gramont. The teaser also features the new dog that joins Reeves in his journey for freedom in John Wick: Chapter 4.

The announcement that Reeves’ eponymous assassin will return to the desert and square battle against The Elder is one of the most intriguing takeaways from the final John Wick: Chapter 4 video. Sad Taghmaoui formerly represented the character and first appears in John Wick: Chapter 3 — To show his allegiance, John has to kill Ian McShane’s Winston and sever his ring finger before handing up his ring to the Elder. As predicted, John did not carry it out, instead collaborating with Winston to fight off the High Table, only for his buddy to apparently turn on him in the end in order to regain the High Table’s favor.

The Elder, now portrayed by George Georgiou, looks to be one of Reeves’ main goals going into John Wick: Chapter 4 in the desert. Despite pulling his pistol on the Elder may be a ruse, it seems just as plausible that he would be eager to murder the High Table commander in his desire to ultimately remove the assassin organization. With director Chad Stahelski earlier suggesting a “cool and emotional” finale, it seems plausible that the desert scene may be how the film concludes, with Wick ultimately winning.
