John Stamos in a recent episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, defended his friend and co-star Lori Loughlin, saying she wasn’t the architect of the college admissions scandal.

Stamos emphasized that Loughlin “didn’t know what was going on” in an interview with the Armchair Expert Podcast.
“I am going to say this, and she said I could, she wasn’t really the architect of any of it—she was in the way background.” added Stamos
He told the host Dax Shepard, since the controversy ignited, Loughlin went through a lot and faced consequences. “Paid a lot of money. She set up a college fund for kids and she went to f—ing jail man.”
In May 2020, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli both were held guilty on conspiracy charges against a famed college admission scandal, over an allegation of securing fraudulent admission to the University of Southern California for their children, Bella Giannulli Olivia Jade.
The actress was sentenced to two-month imprisonment along with a $150,000 fine and was required to complete 150 hours of community service. On the other hand her husband, Mossimo Giannulli was sentenced to a 5-month jail, 250,000 fine and 250 hours of community service.
