Nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Voldemort, Ralph Fiennes has said that he would welcome the opportunity to reprise the role. Fiennes told Variety he can’t wait to bring Voldemort back from the dead.
He said, “Sure, no problem. There’s no doubt about that.”
Throughout the rest of the franchise, which culminated with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 in 2011, Fiennes tormented the Wizarding World as “You-Know-Who” and “He Who Must Not Be Named.” His first appearance was in the fourth Harry Potter film, 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Since Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is apparently pushing for a film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Fiennes’ eagerness for more Voldemort is likely to please him. It was proposed by producer Toby Emmerich, but it was shot down because “it would have been an acknowledgment that Fantastic Beasts wasn’t working, a big pill for Rowling to take since she was so artistically engaged.”
While Ralph Fiennes is anxious to bring back Voldemort, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is not keen to return to the immensely successful series. On being asked in March whether he would reprise his role as Harry as an adult, Radcliffe replied, “This isn’t the response that anybody’s going to want, but I think I was so able to go back and enjoy it because it’s not a part of my day-to-day anymore.”
The actor continued, saying that he was happy with how his time as Harry Potter turned out. In an interview, he stated, “I’m getting to a place where I feel like I made it out of “Potter” OK and I’m very pleased with where I am now, and to go back would be such a major shift in my life,” however he added that he would never say never. Never say never, but the ‘Star Wars’ crew had a good 30–40 years to prepare for a return. However, I can only speak about the last 10 years. Honestly, I’m not all that keen on doing that right now.
But we may have to wait a while for Ralph Fiennes to reprise his role as Voldemort, he will soon be seen in the role of a nefarious chef in the forthcoming dark comedy The Menu, with Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult.
The Menu follows the story of a young couple Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) as they go to a remote island to eat at Hawthorne, a high-end restaurant run by celebrity chef Julian Slowik. Slowly, it becomes clear that Slowik’s way of cooking has some shocking surprises in store for his wealthy customers.
