Johnson said on social media that he has “fought for years” to get Cavill’s version of Superman back. The actor made a brief appearance in a scene after the credits at the end of the most recent DC movie, Black Adam.
“We’ve battled hard for a long time to get you back. If you ask anybody if they want to see Henry Cavill as Superman again, they will tell you no,” Johnson remarked. But “no” was never an option for Dany Garcia, or myself. Once again, Johnson teased his ideas for the DC world, saying that they wouldn’t have been possible without Superman.

It’s impossible to have a fully realized DCEU without the greatest superhero in the world. In addition, the fans come first. By writing, “I’ll see you down the road,” Johnson leaves no doubt that he intends for Superman and Black Adam to clash on the big screen in the future.
A post-credits sequence involving the return of Henry Cavill’s Superman has been a poorly kept secret for some time. In this brief scene, Superman emerges from the haze, donning a spit-curl and a brighter suit, and extending an invitation to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s antihero for a talk.

Recently, Cavill uploaded a video in which he reflected on his return, stating, “To give you all time to see Black Adam, I waited until the weekend was finished before sharing this. Now that many of you have, I feel it necessary to formally announce my return as Superman.” Like Johnson, Cavill foreshadowed major developments. “What you saw in Black Adam, and the photograph on this site, are simply the tip of the iceberg,” he said.
“Therefore, there is plenty for which to be grateful, and I will do so in due time. In particular, I wanted to express my gratitude to you for your encouragement and your understanding. Please believe that your efforts will not go unrewarded.”
More Superman cameos are being considered by the studio after hearing about Henry Cavill’s return to the role. Black Adam, a movie that has been in the works for a long time, premiered in cinemas early this month.
Dwayne Johnson stars as the titular character in Black Adam; after over 5,000 years in captivity, Black Adam is released from his earthly tomb and prepared to unleash his own brand of punishment on the contemporary world.
Critics are divided on Black Adam, but fans have embraced the show and are eager for more. “This has never been about winning or losing a single battle. It’s about so much more than that,” he said.
