Reedus announced the spinoff series’ official title, “Daryl Dixon,” on social media this week. Although quite simple, it still created a stir online as people anticipate the show’s release.

Daryl Dixon‘ is sending its most popular character to the French countryside, where he will explore a different storyline, like an intriguing sole adventure.

According to franchise architect Scott M. Gimple, as reported by Total Film, “Daryl is a fish out of water to start with. If Daryl finds himself with new people, he’s a fish out of water. In France, in a country that’s going through the apocalypse, [it’s] an entirely different thing.”

“He finds himself having to reinvent himself again, having to find himself again, and also, not being with – probably – the only people in the world he’s comfortable with,” Gimple continues.

Based on his statements, Total Film predicted that Daryl would have to deal with the fast-moving zombie variants previewed in “The Walking Dead: World Beyond.”

The Walking Dead was first aired on October 31, 2010, changing the ground for zombie thriller lovers, and it kept going. The show has bagged several nominations and awards and has a whopping 8.1 IMDB rating.

For over a decade, the series has attained a massive fan following that also proceeds to watch the spinoffs. David Zabel has been tapped as the showrunner for the Daryl Dixon TV series, and it has been rumored to release by next year.
