Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to contribution towards space exploration. This time Elon Musk steered a little further and showed his concern towards environment change.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has changed his name on Twitter to “Treelon” by donating money to plant one million trees.
Musk, the (CEO) of SpaceX, gave $1 million ($1 per tree), making it the most noteworthy commitment so far towards the exertion.
The activity, called #TeamTrees, was begun by well known American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, who goes by the online name “Mr Beast”. The task’s point is to fund-raise to plant 20 million trees by January 1, 2020.
The assets go to the Arbor Day Foundation. Mainstream YouTubers have been requesting that their devotees contribute towards the reason.
So far over 7.7 million trees have been planted, as indicated by the activity’s site. Mr Beast tweeted a reaction to the Musk’s commitment, saying he “can’t quit smiling”
Following Musk’s gift, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, as well, offered cash to plant 150,000 trees.
YouTube joined the discussion too, saying the organization will coordinate the Musk’s gift.
